Some lever
styles are available in Left-Hand (LH) or Right-Hand (RH)
versions. When levers are designated by Left Hand (LH) or
Right Hand (RH), specify the required handing when placing your
order. Use the instructions and diagram below to
determine your required handing.
If it is an exterior door, stand
OUTSIDE
(key side) and face the door. If it is an
interior door, stand
OUTSIDE the room or closet and face the door.
Facing the door from the
OUTSIDE,
if the hinges are on the left - select Left Hand. If the hinges are
on the right - select Right Hand. If you use this method for
determining handing for your hardware, then all of the door hardware
you order from our site will be correct. It does not matter if the
door swings in or out or which hand you grab it with. It only
matters that you face the door from the OUTSIDE.
