Replacing Your Existing Handleset? Handlesets are like automobiles. Over the years all models, sizes and shapes change. If you are replacing an existing handleset it is not likely that you will find one that exactly fits the old paint and stain outlines or mounting screw holes. Below are the installation dimensions of stock Schlage handlesets. If you don't find one here that is the exact dimensions of your old handleset, you need to be prepared to fill old screw holes and refinish your door.
